Nearly Spring in Hovingham

Today we have been enjoying some gentle sunshine in the beautiful village of Hovingham!
It has been so lovely to feel the sunshine warming the ground and to see the spring flowers arriving just as the snow leaves!

Here is a building, that is very unique, I have to further investigate exactly what it is used for but wow, brilliant and interesting research for the future. Yorkshire is so lucky to have amazing buildings that just implore you to look further and they capture your interest whilst often remaining humble and quaint.

Beautiful Snowdrops, the first flowers of Spring, they are always so delicate but are often set in armies of little white helmets nodding away in the gentle breeze of an almost Spring day.

I loved them when I was a little girl. I had a snowdrop badge on my guide's uniform, it was super, however I was much prouder of my fire fighting badge but that's another story.

Without a doubt though, those little white flowers signal a new beginning in the year...when perhaps we can hope for warmer weather and new days within the garden or spring time walks.

We are so lucky in Yorkshire to have an abundance of walks to share together or to contemplate alone with your thoughts.

The stained glass is a joy to behold, of all the beauty of glass, it is none better a place than in the house of God, letting in the light and filtering colours of the rainbow all around, like flowers from Heaven in a divine and magnificent way, colours bring us hope, combined with warmth and light, so very beautiful .
