Hello!
I would be absolutely delighted to introduce you to my sometimes visitor and guardian angel Jemima (Mima)!
This pretty girl suddenly appeared on my lawn last year when I was in a sad place, not very settled in my new home and feeling basically sad!
Jemima began sitting on the grass and chattering at me when I went in and out of my front door...I am used to ducks on ponds and that is perfect but not quite on my doorstep...so of course I gradually gave in to her cheeky chatter and got her some treats....so now a year on from this photo Mima has reappeared in the same place outside my door with a rather handsome chap who I have given the name Donald!
I had to didn't I, Jemima and Donald...a couple from the 1970s sitcom eating fondue and discussing home grown vegetables...delightful dinner guests....although Mima and Donald prefer to eat grass and not cheese and I suppose they would like to grow their own vegetables but that is a bit beyond their capacity at the minute.
I will be talking a lot about Mima in the coming weeks as I and others begin a campaign to save them from the cars that drive too fast near our loving couples habitat and are thoughtless when entering our lovely village home...So please remember Save Our Ducks!!!
We must love and protect our precious animals and nature because they bring us so much happiness and they save us undoubtedly when times are troubled...small kindness is a very healing property....love Mima and Donald and our human friend MR(giver of treats and smiles)
