Many of us love the series, Bridgerton and the intrigue, the romance, the settings are just the ultimate in escapism to a bygone world of sweet violets and ladies that swoon at just about anything ;)
Ladies do not sweat, they simply glow....the lovely bygone language that is so utterly charming
I have no problems with a man holding open a door for me or paying me a compliment, it is the privilege of being a lady and a gentleman must treat you well.
This is a wonderful quote
Some may say I am old fashioned, I do not worry, I like it there in the past world, a world of men who kiss your hand and take your arm when taking a gentle stroll....they.keep you safe from dragons.....I like this style ;)
So, below is a picture of the most charming bridge, it is set in a large park behind Hovingham Hall, in the village of Hovingham here in Yorkshire.
The house is presently occupied by Sir Ralph Worsley 6th Baronet (eldest son of the 5th Baronet) and his wife, Marie-Noelle.
The house itself can be visited (after lockdown!) through the Summer at limited times.
I took my little dog Charlie for a walk to the bridge and we just looked across the greenery and the sound of water was so uplifting and beautiful, there in the wide open space....I felt I was in Heaven and waiting for my knight to ride up to me on noble steed....ahhh shame back to reality though of my car and husband eating cheese sandwiches and reading his book....still, ladies and gentlemen, if he/she treats you right....you know he or she is a keeper...however he or she looks.....messy, tidy, cute, not cute, the man or lady who brings you a cuppa at the end of the day or pours the wine, the one who picks you up when you are down, that man or lady is the king or queen of your world.....let us love and be loved and keep our world turning round xx
Love you all xx
